Adjunct Teachers

Primavera Online High School is currently recruiting adjunct teachers for all core courses & electives. Primavera’s adjunct teaching model allows educators to maintain a flexible work schedule while staying current with teaching skills through virtual classrooms. This teaching position is perfect for stay at home moms, retired educators, and any instructor looking to take their teaching skills to the 21st century.

Now Hiring for the following positions:

Social Studies – Economics and Government

Science – Biology and General Science

Spanish – Secondary Certified

Electives – Secondary Certified

Math

English

Responsibilities:

* Provide communication to students and parents on a weekly basis via phone and email

* Grade student work within 24-48 hours of being submitted

* Evaluate student work by providing written comments on all submitted assignments

* Post a daily announcement in each course that motivates the students to participate in the daily lesson

* Manage the discussion board in each class to encourage participation and learning in the online classroom

* Maintain a minimum score of 75% on teacher evaluation report by block and acceptable completion rates per course

* Participate in professional development and departmental meetings, as scheduled

* Assist with AIMS testing administration, as directed

Credentials and Experience:

* Highly Qualified in content area

* Bachelor’s Degree

* Arizona Teacher Certificate Required

* Teaching experience at the secondary education level

* Positive communication skills Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to learn Blackboard, Microsoft Outlook, POHS Student Management System, and all other technology systems being used by the instruction department

* Ability to establish work priorities and work independently without supervision

* Ability to handle and resolve problems

* Strong communication skills

* Time management and organizational skills

Other Requirements:

* Available a minimum of 3-5 hours a day, working from home

* Technology skills and equipment capable of working with a web-based system
